Silverado Ranch is located about 4 miles south of the Las Vegas International Airport and about 6 miles from the center of the strip. It is somewhat hard to describe as a planned community in that there is not much in the way of amenities that normally characterize most of the other planned communities in the Las Vegas area. Having said that, it is probably the best-located planned community concerning access to the airport/strip area. The average age of a home in Silverado Ranch is probably around 10 years. The schools in the area are generally regarded by my clients as good. Housing opportunities here range from free-standing homes to condos to apartments.
Silverado Ranch Park is located here and is one of the valley’s newest parks. It is home to softball fields, picnic areas, a playground, and an amphitheater. It also is home to a popular skate park that permits biking and rollerblading along with skateboarding.
I have a hard time describing this community in that it lacks anything in the way of a unique character that sets it apart from the normal tract housing in the Las Vegas area. The pluses however are big, with close access to the strip/airport area, relatively newer construction, and schools with a good reputation.
