Las Vegas Surrounding Area Communities
Below is a showcase of some of the currently listed properties in the Logandale, Overton, Moapa area. This information is updated every 24 hours.
The Logandale/Overton area is in the Moapa Valley, approximately 50 miles north and east of Las Vegas, just east of the I15. As of the 2020 census, the population is 6,289 with 1,525 families. The Muddy River flows through this area. It is a somewhat unique area in many ways. It was settled in the 1880s and has a surprisingly complete infrastructure given its size with grocery store and schools, including a high school.
It has a different look, greener than most of the surrounding areas. It also has a very rural look with lots of horse properties. The elevations in the Logandale/Overton Nevada area range from around 1,250 to 1,400 ft. above sea level. Temperatures will be slightly warmer that those of the Las Vegas area. There are a number of options for Logandale, Overton real estate, including homes on acreage.
The majority of folks that live in this area do not have horses, but it is in my opinion the single most horse friendly community in this area. It gives horse owners what they most look for and that is access to areas to ride without transporting their animals. This small community is surrounded by open BLM land.
Even though these communities are close to the I15 interstate, they are not on the interstate and not visible from the interstate. As such, this area is not a stop-off for folks going somewhere else. Most travelers along the I15 may note the freeway exit, but do not have any idea as to the nature of this community.
