Laughlin Nevada real estate is represented in this Southern Nevada City that is not incorporated. It is home to over 7,000 residents and has just over 3,100 residential dwellings. The oldest date to around 1975 with approximately 1/2 built since 1990. There is one medium size commercial strip in Laughlin, along Needles Highway with grocery store, post office, restaurants and Nevada Dept of Motor Vehicles. Many other stores and services are located, a short distance away, across the Colorado River in Bullhead City. Many residents are employed at the casinos along the river. Many also are seasonal residents as the summer heat here can get brutal.
The geographic location in on the Colorado River, Across from Bulhead City Arizona. It is around 90 miles from Las Vegas. It is served by Las Metropolitan Police and Clark County Fire Dept,
Don Laughlin was the force behind the development of this area. He purchased some land and a small casino in 1964. Subsequently he built several casinos along the river. Other developers followed with other casinos and residential construction. Desert Springs is the only age restricted residential option on this, the Nevada side of the river. Laughlin real estate represents a very active community.
